Grange 487 Delivers Dictionaries to Fisher Elementary Students
When third graders are trying to pronounce cryoplankton, lectern, and ethereal, you know something’s up. It was a special day at Fisher Elementary School when Nathalie Caler and June Sherwin of the Arlington Battenkill Grange #487 visited classrooms at the School to deliver brand new dictionaries to the students.
Fisher third grade teacher, Charlie Cummings, said the students couldn’t wait to receive the books. “These dictionaries are like mini-encyclopedias. The kids love them. During free reading time, students will ask if they can take out their dictionaries to read more about the solar system and a host of other interesting facts. We so appreciate the Grange giving us these books each year.”
