Granville’s Pember to Hold 60s- Inspired Coffeehouse
Calling all hippies, flower children, musicians, poets and coffee lovers! Since First Friday at the Pember wasn’t possible due to the New Year’s holiday, we’re keeping the cultural steam going in January with another great event. What better way to perk up the post-holiday blahs than fun and coffee! The Pember Library and Museum will hold its second annual 1960s Coffeehouse fundraiser on Friday, January 15, from 7 to 9 p.m., featuring our own barista brewing up specialties to order, including flavored coffees, espresso and cappuccino, teas and hot chocolate. Pastries, Viennese tortes and other desserts will be for sale. And once again we will have an open mike for anyone with something to say, sing or recite. In addition to sixties’ era décor there will be comfy pillows, board games and a karaoke machine. Have dinner at home, then join us for coffee, dessert and a good time! Admission is free and all proceeds benefit operations at The Pember, located at 33 East Main Street in Granville, N.Y. To learn more, call 518-642-2525 or visit thepember.com.
