Gypsy Reel to Perform on Weston’s Village Green
Vermont’s acclaimed vocal/instrumental group, Gypsy Reel will be playing their fifth annual concert on the Green in Weston at 4 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, September 7. All ages love the music of this group, so bring the family and a picnic to the Weston Village Green and enjoy some great music on what is often considered the last day of summer.
The concert is presented by the Weston Community Association. There is no cost to attend, but voluntary contributions to help maintain the Weston Green are appreciated. The concert will be held in Weston’s Old Parish Church in the event of rain. Gypsy Reel has performed their own original/traditional Celtic-flavored music since the early 80s. The group is likely to be joined by a guest to augment the lineup, which includes banjoist Claudine Langille, formerly of Touchstone, the Irish/American fusion band that won critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic; Graham Parker, fiddler extraordinaire; Mark Harding on upright bas; and Camille Parker, who has captivated audiences everywhere with her singing in Spanish and English.
