Habitat for Humanity Opens Manchester ReSale Store

Habitat for Humanity Opens Manchester ReSale Store

The much anticipated Shires ReSale Store will be open for business on weekends, beginning December 21 and 22. The store will be open on Saturdays 10 a.m to 6 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. It is located at 2012 Route 11/30, going east out of Manchester, one mile from the railroad tracks, in the octagonal building formerly occupied by the Skiers Edge.

The Shires ReSale Store will become the major fund raiser for Bennington Area Habitat for Humanity. We’ll be holding a Grand Opening event some time in January 2014.

The store will be selling new and gently used furniture, building supplies, appliances, tools, housewares and home improvement products that have been donated. The goal of the store is to keep usable items from going into the waste stream; expand the items that may be accepted to include building materials and supplies; and offer  area residents products at far less than retail prices.

Currently we are full to the rafters with chairs, household furniture and furnishings, recreational equipment, sleds, tennis rackets, computer desks, a growing stock of garden tools and a variety of building
materials. Interested?
