Historic Newfane Heritage Festival to be Held October 12-13
The 43rd annual Heritage Festival, sponsored by the Congregational Church in Newfane, Vt., is one of the longest-running festivals in Vermont. It will be held on the historic Newfane Common Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, from 10 to 4 each day, rain or shine. Over 90 vendors will sell hand-crafted items: quilts, ironwork, pottery, furniture, photography, art work, jewelry, clothing and much more. It is an experience that has prompted people to return year after year.
The aroma of fresh-baked apple pies will draw you to our outdoor food booth for lunch consisting of a choice of burgers, hot dogs, chili or chowder. Along the way you’ll be tempted by hot, buttery popcorn, fresh-dipped caramel apples and specialty foods. The Church Deli will offer the classic Newfane apple pie, sold by piece or whole, along with a hearty meal of baked potatoes with toppings, homemade soups, pizza and a tasty treat of fresh-pressed cider or other beverages.
Warm apple crisp and sliced apple pie with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream will send you happily on your way for a short walk to the Super Raffle. Among the items raffled at the close of the Festival are beautiful hand-pieced quilts, hand knit afghans, gift certificates, paintings, and many other unique items, all donated by area businesses, church members, the community and participating crafters.
There is something for everyone at our flea booth! Attic treasures abound, along with collectibles and
