Fisher Elementary School and Arlington Girl Scouts Troop 30215 have teamed up to make holiday cards through the annual American Red Cross’ Holiday Mail for Heroes program, which is responsible for distributing the cards to military bases and veterans hospitals.

If you would like to make your own card and drop it off at Fisher, the guidelines are as follows:  All cards must be signed; Use a generic greeting such as “Dear Service Member,” (cards for specific individuals cannot be distributed through this program); Do not include your home address on the card; do not include inserts of any kind, including photos; do not use glitter; envelopes are unnecessary.  To be included in the mailing, cards must be received at Fisher Elementary School by Monday, December 2.  For information, call Principal Deanne Lacoste at 802-375-6409 or Girl Scout Assistants Kim Baker at 803-375-9334 and Elizabeth Berger at 802-375-6532.
