Holiday Marketplace, Cocktails and Wreath-Making
Join Berkshire Botanical Gardens on Friday, December 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., for a Cocktail Reception, and be the first to see all of the great holiday offerings available at this year’s Holiday Marketplace, including unique wreaths created by our volunteers and staff. Local vendors will be there; the Garden Shop will offer a plant sale and gifts for everyone on your list. Most importantly, there will be cocktails made with holiday spirits and food, complete with the return of our raw bar. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support the Garden and get the holiday cheer flowing. This event sells out every year. For ticket information, call 413-298-3926 or visit berkshirebotanical.org. Berkshire Botanical Gardens is located at 5 West Stockbridge Road in Stockbridge, Mass.
Do you want to learn how to make one-of-a-kind wreaths of your very own? Let the folks at Berkshire Botanical Gardens teach you how to create a beautiful evergreen wreath for the holidays, using the bounty of the fields and forests of the Berkshires. Consider a wide selection of responsibly harvested plant material, including evergreen boughs, berries, seedpods, fern fronds and moss. You’ll learn about the natural history of common and not-so-common plants that can be used to create interesting holiday decorations. Construct and take home a simple evergreen wreath and the skill to create wreaths for holidays to come. Visit us during the 2013 Holiday Marketplace on December 7 and 8 during the Stockbridge, Mass., Main Street at Christmas celebration, and is open to the public at no charge. Come by and bring your family and friends! For more information, call 413-298-3926 or visit berkshirebotanical.org.
