garden tour.

The Mountain Hideaways House and Garden Tour sponsored by the Friends of the Wardsboro Library is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. This self-guided driving tour features the interiors and gardens of homes in Wardsboro, West Wardsboro, Stratton and Jamaica, as well as the recently renovated Wardsboro Public Library and its perennial gardens at 170 Main Street. The tour begins at the Wardsboro Town Hall on Main Street where visitors receive a tour journal and map. The properties may be visited in any order. A café in the Town Hall will feature treats and gourmet box lunches from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to eat in or take out. Box lunches are $10 each ordered in advance; a menu is available at friendsofwardsborolibrary.org. Reserve tickets in advance to save $5 off the ticket price by calling the Friends at 802-896-3416 or info@friendsofwardsborolibrary.org. Tickets may also be purchased online at the website. Reservations made in advance are $20 for adults and $8 for children under 12. Admission on tour day is $25 and $10 for children. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Wardsboro Library for the support of the Wardsboro Public Library.
