Humorist Davis Sedaris Comes to the Paramount
David Sedaris, the New York Times bestselling author and National Public Radio humorist, will appear at Paramount Theatre on Friday, November 22, at 8 p.m. Sedaris’ sardonic wit and incisive social critiques have made him one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. Sedaris will read from his new book, ‘Let’s Explore Diabetes With Owls,’ a collection of essays currently on the bestsellers list. A book signing will follow. Mr. Sedaris’ appearance is a part of the 2013/2014 Vermont Public Radio Series that will include appearances by Garrison Keillor and Ira Glass.
David Sedaris’s original radio pieces can often be heard on This American Life, distributed nationally by Public Radio International and produced by WBEZ. Sedaris has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political
correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers addressing the human condition.
Tickets, $59.75 to $69.75, are available and on sale at the Paramount Center Box Office, at 802 775-0903 or ParamountLive.org.
