Is Bennington’s Everett Mansion haunted? Come find out when Dustin Pari, cast member of the SyFy paranormal reality show, Ghost Hunters, will speak at Southern Vermont College about his investigation.

Southern Vermont College’s Everett Mansion was investigated by the popular SyFy Channel’s paranormal sleuths, the Ghost Hunters, and with the program scheduled to air at the end of the month, SVC has invited cast member Dustin Pari to talk on campus about his experience on Thursday, October 29. The public is invited to hear Pari’s presentation at 6 p.m. in the Everett Theatre.

The paranormal investigation was taped in the summer of 2014, and is part of the show’s new fall season. It is tentatively scheduled to air on the Wednesday, October 28, just before Halloween, and features Jason Hawes, co-
creator of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) and the TAPS team.

The Everett Estate has been the subject of other paranormal investigators and journals, including books by Vermont author Joseph Citro. The Ghost Hunters investigation at SVC came to be after alumna Leigh Meola contacted them while she was a student on campus several years ago to share her personal paranormal encounters. In 2014, the executive producer contacted her with an interest in investigating the history and stories at Southern Vermont College. Meola was invited to be part of the program when the cast and production crew converged on campus that summer. “Under contract with the studio, I cannot share any of their findings until the show airs,” Meola said. “But I can’t wait to have everyone see what I was lucky enough to experience!”

Meola, now a nurse at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., will join Pari at the event, which is free and open to the public. Pari has worked with  TAPS for more than ten years, investigating paranormal activity in places near and far. He is also a motivational speaker and the COO of a surgical practice based in New England. He has co-authored two books with Barry FitzGerald titled ‘So My Home is Haunted…Now What?’ and ‘The Complete Approach: the Scientific and Metaphysical Guide to The Paranormal.’ For more information, call 802-447-6388 or e-mail communications@svc.edu.
