Jamaica to Host ‘Best Little Arts and Crafts Show in Vermont’
On Sunday, June 3, the Jamaica Community Arts Council will sponsor the second annual ‘Best Little Arts and Crafts Show in Vermont,’ from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in and around the historic Jamaica Town Hall on Routes 30/100. Almost 50 artists and craftspeople will be on hand, including Jamaica’s own fiber artist Margaret Miller, who will be demonstrating spinning and weaving; Heather Bartels, who will be offering unique earrings; Sherry Clark, floral and plant creations, and Ray Ballantine, wooden toys. Other craftwork includes birdhouses, toys, carved bowls; pottery by Jenifer Morier, Jaye Pope, Mary Ann Furgalack and Diane Echlin; jewelry by Donna Dilmore, Jack Peters, Lisa Flanders, Pat Miller, Cindy Moses, Bonnie North, Jen Smith and Karen Utiger of Lyon Pond Studio. Handmade soaps, lotions, natural cosmetics and healing balms will also be for sale. The Children’s Creation Station will be back, so bring your kids so they can get creative and make art while you shop. A variety of food and drink will be available for purchase at several local venues.
