Landgrove Meeting House
Professor Gregory Mobley, professor, author and ordained minister, will speak at Landgrove Meeting House on Sunday, August 4, at 9:30 a.m., with music provided by organist David Cobb. Mobley is an American Baptist minister with a special interest in exploring the stories of the Bible. He taught Old Testament and Hebrew Bible at Union Theological Seminary in New York and the Andover-Newtown Theological Seminary prior to becoming a professor of Hebrew Bible and Congregational Studies at Yale Divinity School in 2017. His interests include reading the Bible in the light of contemporary sensibilities toward environmental sustainability. He writes articles and book reviews, has done archaeological field work in Israel and served as an editorial assistant on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
