Lessons From History at ICM
Israel Congregation of Manchester (ICM) is honored to host Rabbi Norman Patz at 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, when he will discuss ‘The Canary in the Mine Shaft: Do We Ever Learn from History?’ An internationally engaged scholar, Rabbi Patz will offer insights and lessons from the past to help Jews and non-Jews alike navigate the future with knowledge and wisdom – locally, nationally or abroad. Rabbi Patz is Rabbi Emeritus (retired) of Temple Sholom of West Essex in Cedar Grove, N.J. Throughout his 40 years on the pulpit, he brought an international perspective to his congregants and beyond, whether through his involvement with Soviet Jewry, trips he led to Israel and Europe, or his thought-provoking and inspirational sermons. All are invited to attend this special program. Admission is free of charge, with free will donations appreciated. For more information, call Lisa in the ICM office at 802-362-4578.
