East Dorset Pork Chop Dinner

The East Dorset Congregational Church will be serving a country-style Pork Chop Dinner on Saturday, May 19. The menu will include stuffing, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread and dessert. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. in the chapel next to the church on Mad Tom Road in East Dorset. The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children between five and 12 years of age; children under five are free.

Arlington Pancake Breakfast

Battenkill Grange 487 will hold a Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 20, at Bailey Hall on Ice Pond Road in East Arlington. The menu includes pancakes with real Vermont maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, homefires, and biscuits with sausage gravy, with coffee, juice and milk. Nieghbor to Neighbor Luncheon

Neighbor to Neighbor, a local non-profit organization, is hosting a luncheon to raise funds to help fulfill its mission: to assist our elderly neighbors who wish to live independently by providing no cost, volunteer services that help to nurture relationships. The event will be at 12 noon on Friday, May 18, at the Manchester Country Club, with special guest Marian Knapp, author of ‘Aging in Places: Reflective Preparation for the Future,’ which discusses the multifaceted lives of elders and reflects upon their places in society, culture and community. Maple Street School Dinner & Auction Celebrates 20 Years

On Saturday, June 2, Maple Street School will host its biennial Dinner and Auction on the Maple Street campus. This year, the event commemorates the school’s 20th anniversary. The event will feature a live and silent auction with more than 100 items, and expects to host 150 to 200 guests, including the founders of Maple Street, founding families, the preceding Heads of School and Maple Street friends from throughout the years. “We are really excited to host Maple Street School’s 20th anniversary celebration,” said head of school Fanning Hearon. “This year marks such an important moment in the history of our school, and we look forward to thanking and honoring those who made Maple Street possible.” Tickets are available at maple2018.gesture.com. Granville Pancake Breakfast

The Peniel Presbyterian Church on Quaker Street in Granville, N.Y., will be holding a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 19, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The menu will include pancakes, real maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee or tea. The cost is $6 for adults, $ 3 for ages five to 12, and free for age four and younger.

Readsboro Breakfast

The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Readsboro is hosting their monthly breakfast on Sunday, May 13, from 8 to 11 a.m. Come enjoy juice, coffee, pancakes or French toast, sausage and home fries. for a $6 donation. American Legion Post 66 is located at 66 Tunnel Street in Readsboro.
