Local Artifacts Revealed at Manchester Historical Society

Join the Manchester Historical Society on Thursday, May 16, from 7 to 8 p.m. when a local resident discusses discovering the history buried in your backyard. Sam Dann has spent the past few years getting permission from area property owners to explore with his metal detector. He’s found 18th-century Vermont copper coins, musket balls, buttons, sleigh/wagon bells and civil war tokens and much more, making each outing an adventure! Some of the pieces he has recovered will be on display; his presentation will also include videos and an equipment demonstration. This all-ages event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the Kilburn Room located at the Manchester Town Offices, 6039 Main Street, Manchester Center. For more information, call the 802-549-4582 or email [email protected]
