Local Habitat for Humanity Issues Call for Volunteers

Bennington Area Habitat for Humanity is in need of volunteers ages 16 and over. All skill levels are welcome to help build on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The organization is currently building in Manchester and Pownal. Also needed are Volunteer Hosts, who greet construction volunteers at the build site, gets the coffee brewing and provides refreshments for the 10 a.m. break. Hosting takes about an hour, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. If you love to take photos and make a difference, record the progress of our projects on camera, or volunteer at the Shires ReSale Store in Manchester. Responsibilities can be shared and/or combined, and flexible scheduling is available.

Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates homes in Bennington County with selected low income, qualified homebuyers in partnership with volunteers, contractors, area businesses and the community. The funds come from donations, grants, fundraising events and proceeds generated from the Shires ReSale Store. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering or donating , visit benningtonareahabitat.com or call  802-367-1000.
