On Saturday, October 26 at 3, a new mural, ‘Barn Dancing in Vermont,’ will be unveiled on Main Street in Londonderry, Vt. Painted by renowned local muralist, Kimberley Ray, the mural memorializes an historic Vermont tradition which continues today – where residents throw open their barn doors, invite neighbors in and dance into the wee hours.

In this spirit, the public is invited to witness the unveiling, enjoy some hot cider and chat with members of the community. The mural is a donation from the area’s Blue Flames Steel Band. The framing around the mural, which is placed at Butch Jelley’s Deli, is a gift from R. H. Adams, Inc. Ownership of the mural goes to the Londonderry Arts and Historical Society. In the event of rain, the celebration after the unveiling will take place in the Art Studio/Gallery in the Mountain Marketplace.
