LTS Installs Linfield as Interim Head
With excitement and great confidence, Long Trail School announces the placement of Seth Linfield as Interim Head of School for the 2017/2018 school year. Linfield comes from Ohio and has 14 years of cumulative experience as a Head of School at select schools in the US. Linfield spent the first part of his career as an attorney, rising to partner at a large law firm. He has a degree from Stanford Law School and a BA in Mathematics, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from NYU. The Linfield family includes Seth, his wife Deana and seven children, the youngest of whom, Jeremy, will be attending LTS as a sophomore.
Linfield notes, “There is nothing interim about this school year for our students. This school’s founding vision – and its growth from a one-room schoolhouse four decades ago to the striking campus of today – challenge us to sustain past successes while extending fresh strengths in response to emerging challenges and opportunities. Let us always be accountable to be even more innovative, even more high-quality and even more invested.” Long Trail welcomes community members to stop by and meet Seth. As LTS enters its 42nd school year, the Head of School search process has only occurred three times in its history. With this placement of Interim Head of School, the search for a new Head of School for the 2018/2019 academic year continues in earnest.
