LTS to Present One-Act Plays

On Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30, Long Trail School will present an evening of one-act plays. Showtime both evenings is 6:30 p.m. In addition to a one-act full production version of William Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night,’ three new works will be showcased through a reader’s theatre. Director Anna Bean leads a 20-person cast and crew in the Shakespearean comedy. This version, adapted by London’s Globe Theatre, tells the tale of twins separated in a shipwreck and the complications of love and identity which ensue. The two student works to be presented are ‘Here We Go Again’ by Kassidy Brooks and ‘Laugh It Off’ by Isa Blankenbaker. There will also be a unique collaboration between writer and actors in the performance of an excerpt from ‘Rivalry Week’ by Luke Krueger, a playwright who teaches English at LTS. He created his contribution from discussions with Bean’s middle school drama students, who will be performing the play. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors, available at the door. For more information, contact Anna Bean at 802-867-5717 extension 170.
