Luminous Crush in Free Concert
On Saturday, February 13, at 7 p.m., the intriguing electro-acoustic group known as Luminous Crush will be performing a free concert at the Northshire Bookstore. The group featuries Ben Campbell and Laura Molinelli, with special guest Christian Heins on bass, who have been touring independent record and music shops and bookstores throughout Vermont to promote their new self/titled EP. Campbell has worked with some major Vermont artists such as Anais Mitchell (Hadestown), Michael Chorney and Caleb Elder (Route 7 Ramblers, Circus Smirkus). He has been praised for many years by Seven Days music editor Dan Bolles as an artist who is “Insatiably curious and wildly multi-facete,” for producing independent music under the name Saint Albums. Molinelli has shared the stage with such artists as Lucy Kaplansky, Dar Williams, Lucinda Williams, Lou Gramm, The Temptations and Amy Helm. She has written and produced her own material for over 20 years, and has been a guest volcalist on countless recordings from the likes of such artists as Syd Straw, Hungrytown, Jim Gilmour, The Samples and more.
