LVRS Holds MCI Training Event

Area students recently participated a simulated event to help members of the Londonderry Rescue Squad with casualty incidence training.

A simulated mass casuality incident was recently enacted at Flood Brook School in Londonderry. The practice, organized by Matt Kujovsky, a EMT for Londonderry Volunteer Rescue Squad, created a scenario with an explosion occurring at the School resulting in mass casualties. Students from Flood Brook and Burr and Burton participated as victims, demonstrating a variety of injuries. LVRS serves the towns of Londonderry, South Londonderry, Weston, Peru, Landgrove, Windham, Stratton, Winhall and Jamaica. Despite the low population density of the area, such an event could still happen and LVRS will be ready to respond. LVRS is always seeking new members.
