are looking forward to Mach’s Fest in Pawlet.

Come to Pawlet Village, Vt. to help celebrate Mach’s General Store on Saturday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date, Sunday, June 29. This village street fest will feature live music, a beer tent, wine tasting, food and much more. A Fishing Derby will start at 11:30 a.m. for kids up to 13. Sign up at 11 a.m. at Mach’s. An adult must accompany all kids, who will fish for a half hour. Prizes have been donated by the Orvis Store. The newly renovated Town Hall will be open between 12 and 2 p.m.

Mach’s General Store has suffered financial difficulties, as have many general stores in and around our state. To help, the Friends of Mach’s held a fundraising event with Rusty DeWees, the Logger, and began a silent auction, which has moved to the Store and concludes at 3 p.m. the day of Mach’s Fest. Park at the Pawlet Church or the lawn by the firehouse, and don’t forget to swing by Pawlet Historical Society’s Tag and Bake Sale on the same day.

There is also an online fundraising at gofundme.com/8t5oc0, with proceeds are earmarked for inventory in the store. Mach’s is more than just a corner store; it is where we come to visit over coffee, weigh a turkey or deer after the hunt and pick up our kids after school. Visit
