The Dorset BBQers, a barbershop quartet, will liven up a community event.

Neighbor to Neighbor is having a Volunteer Appreciation Cookout on Thursday, September 22, beginning at 12 noon, in the main building at the Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park in Manchester. Both indoor and outdoor space have been reserved for the rain or shine event, which will feature music by the Dorset BBQers Barbershop Quartet, who will perform at 1 p.m. The quartet is made up of David Chandler, tenor, Roger Squire, bass, Henry Chandler, baritone, and Richard Grip, lead. They have been entertaining delighted audiences at local venues like the Dorset Quarry, the Manchester Fair and Bromley Mountain since 2015. For more information on the group, you can call Richard Grip at 802-768-8563. If you’d like to bring an appetizer, side dish or salad to share, please do. Those planning to attend should RSVP to Philippa at 802-367-7787, and if you need a ride, let her know.
