Manchester Designer Outlets Celebrates Grand Opening of The Marble Mill

Manchester Designer Outlets announces the grand opening celebration of The Marble Mill, a new 20,000 square foot retail complex located at 135 Depot Street in the heart of Manchester Center, Vermont. The ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration will take Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00AM. Megan Smith, Commissioner of Marketing and Tourism for the State of Vermont will join Ben and Lana Hauben from Manchester Designer Outlets along with other noted dignitaries.

The public is invited to join the excitement and daylong festivities, 11:00AM to 4:00PM on the outside plazas at The Marble Mill. There will be fun and entertainment for children, families and adults of all ages. Featured entertainment includes: Ari Rudiakov with Manchester Music Festival and a 14- piece string orchestra from the young artists program, Charles Rak – The Karicature King will sketch humorous pictures of guests, renowned comic mime artist Robert the Mime will delight and captivate the audience, along with DJ extraordinaire Jake Allen radio personality of the 100.9 The Cat – Jake and Dana Morning Show and afternoon host of 107.1 the Point, who will entertain the crowd with music and contests throughout the afternoon. Everyone is invited to have fun, dance and shop the throughout the day.

Leading designer brands located at The Marble Mill include such world-class names Eileen Fisher Company Store,  Armani Outlet, Eddie Bauer Outlet and New Balance Factory Store.

With the opening of The Marble Mill, Manchester Designer Outlets is the largest retail group in Manchester, Vermont.  This is the first new major commercial venture in Manchester in more than five years and has stimulated new economic energy in the region. The building was designed, developed and built by Vermont architects, contractors and artisans embracing historic New England architectural features such as Vermont serpentine stone sitting walls, flower gardens, the addition of more trees and open stone plazas.

Interior space includes 24 foot vaulted ceilings with exposed steel frames and roof dormers, and provides an open airy natural experience.  The Marble Mill connects to other Manchester Designer Outlets’ retail buildings via a landscaped sloped winding pedestrian walkway and a center stairwell bathed in natural light.  A glass cupola provides a visual focal point.
