Manchester Lighted Tractor Parade
The town of Manchester’s annual Manchester Merriment celebration continues on Saturday, December 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the Lighted Tractor Parade, which will wind through the downtown area spreading holiday cheer. This year’s route will begin at Manchester Elementary Middle School and travel down School Street to Bonnet Street, go around the Routes 7A and 30 roundabouts, and back along Main Street before turning on Memorial Avenue towards the school. A judging and viewing stand will be setup in front of Factory Point Place on Main Street. Cash prizes will be awarded courtesy of Dorr Oil and Propane to tractors with the Best Use of Lights, the Best Float, and the Best Nonprofit. Spectators are encouraged to show their own spirit by dressing in their brightest attire. Kids, look out for giveaways and a visit from Santa Claus on a special tractor! The event is presented by Manchester Life Magazine, the Manchester Business Association, the Town of Manchester, and Dorr Oil and Propane. Other happenings include Holiday Historic Inn Tours on December 1 and 8, and the Manchester Lions Elf Express Train on December 15 and 16.
