Meeks’ Fiber Arts on View at Wardsboro Library
Kathleen Meeks’ needle felted work will be on display at the Wardsboro Library along with that of some of her students: Olivia and Emma Hoos, Rowan and Declan Perry, Ella Meeks and Jill Dean. There will be a an opening reception on Wednesday, October 14, at 7 p.m. A nurse by profession, Meeks has been raising sheep since 1999. She found her passion for working with fiber when her daughter Darcy gave her a spinning wheel for Christmas. Meeks holds fiber classes and a summer camp at the farm, teaches at the local elementary schools, and holds needle felting classes for small groups.
