Meet Your New Legislator
Newly elected State Representative Kathleen James (Bennington-4) is holding an informal get-together in each of the four communities she’ll be representing. Come to share your ideas, issues, priorities and concerns prior to the January 9 opening of the legislative session in Montpelier. Free coffee and cookies will be provided. Events will be held: Monday, December 3, 5:30 p.m., Sunderland Town Hall (104 Mountain View Road), prior to the 6:30 p.m. Selectboard meeting. This event is co-hosted by newly elected State Representative David Durfee (Bennington-3) because Sunderland is geographically divided between these two districts; on Tuesday, December 4, at 5:30 p.m. at Sons of the American Legion Post 69 (54 Legion Road), Arlington, prior to the 6:30 p.m., meeting of the Arlington Area Renewal Project; on Wednesday, December 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Park House (340 Rec Park Road), Manchester; and on Monday, January 7, at 5:30 p.m. at Sandgate Town Hall (3266 West Sandgate Road), prior to the 6:30 p.m. Selectboard meeting.
