Mitten Makers Needed
The Slate Valley Museum in Granville, N.Y., is gathering donations of handmade mittens to give to children on Tuesday, December 2, at the opening for the Festival of Trees, held in conjunction with Granville’s village-wide celebration. The museum will also welcome knitters and crocheters to bring their needles, hooks and yarn for a day of mitten making on Saturday, November 22. Drop in any time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Coffee and cookies will be available. Mitten donations should be dropped off at the museum by Monday, December 1.
