Equinox Valley Nursery on Route 7A in Manchester is hosting a Fall Harvest Festival Benefit for the Community Food Cupboard on Saturday, October 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are seeking a variety of vendors selling crafts, jewelry, fibers and textiles, dairy, maple and other Vermont farm-related items. The event will be well-publicized in the local media and has received a sizeable crowd in past years. The booth fee is a $25 donation, made directly to the Community Food Cupboard, a non-profit food shelf that serves hundreds of families from Manchester and 14 surrounding towns from the Mountains to the Mettowee Valley. This is a rain or shine event, and vendors are responsible for their own tents and tables. Black River Good Neighbor Services will hold its annual Fall Rummage Sale on Friday and Saturday, September 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday September 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations of housewares and furniture are needed for the sale. Small items may be dropped off at the thrift store at 37B Main Street in Ludlow. For larger items, call 802-228-3663 to arrange a drop off time at Fletcher Farm, 611 Route 103 South, Ludlow, where the sale will be held . If you are unable to drop off a furniture donation, volunteers may be able pick it up if arrangements are made in advance.

Hot Tub Raffle to Support Stratton Foundation
The Stratton Foundation’s ‘Moving Mountains for Kids’ initiative will raffle an $8,000 hot tub, donated by Brook Valley Appliance in Manchester. The hot tub will be on display at the Stratton Resort beginning Labor Day Weekend. Raffle tickets may be purchased at $50 each or five for $200, up until the drawing on Saturday, October 1, at 1 p.m., taking place at the Brook Valley Appliance showroom. Tickets may be purchased at strattonfoundation.org/raffle or at Brook Valley Appliance, 1011 Depot Street, Manchester Center. ‘Moving Mountains for Kids’ helps to provide basic necessities to address hunger, poverty, health and warmth, so that children living in economic hardship have educational opportunities and a chance to succeed. Fuel Fund Basket Raffle
The Cambridge Fuel Fund, established in February 2015 under the auspices of Cambridge First Baptist Church, will hold their second annual Basket Raffle starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, with drawings starting at 1 p.m., at Jacob’s Well Fellowship Church (the former First Baptist Church) at 29 West Main Street, Cambridge, N.Y. Lunch will be available. The fund is available to those living in the Cambridge, N.Y., school district and who are not eligible for HEAP, or for those whose funds have not started or have run out for the year.
