Multi-talented Artists Exhibit at Equinox Village
You might expect the art instructor at Equinox Village to have an exhibit of his work at the Gallery at Equinox Village, but how about the person who coordinates many of the community’s continuing education offerings? How about the fitness instructor? The Greater Manchester Arts Council and Equinox Village are proud to invite you to view a series of exhibits by people who typically work with Equinox Village in other capacities.
The first artist is Lisa May, who teaches Balance & Stretch Class at Equinox Village three times a week; she spends some of her free time creating airy pastel drawings of Vermont and her other favorite places. May’s exhibit is planned from Friday, September 20 until Monday, October 14; the opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 on Thursday, September 19.
Tony Conner, our visual arts instructor, uses many different media in his classes at Equinox Village; his exhibit, planned for October 18 through November 18, will focus on his delicate and masterful watercolors. An opening reception is planned for 5:30 to 6:30 on Thursday, October 17.
Gloria Palmer, executive director for the Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning, certainly exemplifies the spirit of learning; she began painting watercolors in adulthood, and this is her first solo exhibit. The opening reception for Palmer’s work is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 on Thursday, November 21; the exhibit will be open daily, November 22 to December 16.
The gallery and opening events are free, open to the public, and include live music and hors d’oeuvres from the Equinox Village kitchen. Call 802-362-4061 for details and to RSVP.
