Natural Science for Homeschoolers

Join homeschool educator and naturalist Mary Batcheller and OWCC Education Coordinator Jen Loyd-Pain as for four monthly themed sessions that will focus on science tools in fun and interactive activities. Classes will take place in the Greenberg Reserve and the education center. Come to all four sessions or choose the ones that interest you most. Participants will be divided into two approximate target groups: grades K to 3 and 4 to 8. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited.

In the first session on Wednesday, January 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.,‘The Wonders of Weather’ will explore weather forecasts: wind chill, wind speed, humidity and more. Relevant skills will be targeted appropriately to each age group. Call the center at 802-447-7419 or email jloyd-pain@oneworldconservationcenter.org to register. The fee is $8 per child, and $7 for each additional child in the family, or $28 child if you sign up for all four sessions up front. Parents are encouraged, at no additional cost.
