Neighbor to Neighbor Welcomes Marian Knapp to Luncheon
Neighbor to Neighbor’s annual fundraising Author Talk and Luncheon will be held on Friday, May 18, beginning at 12 noon, at the Manchester Country Club. Featured guest Marian Knapp is an elder advocate and author of ‘Aging in Places,’ which offers ideas and reflections on planning a meaningful future. Marian received her PhD at the age of 70; she is a popular columnist in Newton, Mass. Her book will be available for sale at the event. Tickets are $45 ($20 of which is a tax-deductible contribution to N2N). To purchase tickets, call Robin at 802-367-7787 or visit neighbortoneighborvt.org.
All event proceeds will be donated to N2N, a nonprofit organization that strives to help elderly and disabled individuals in the Northshire to live on their own, by giving them companionship, assistance with transportation and chores, enabling them to remain independent and connected to their communities. The resulting one-on-one relationships often result in meaningful, ongoing friendships.
Their monthly social events include lunch, musical presentations, interactive programs, card games, movies and more at the First Congregational Church of Manchester.
