Norman’s Attic Next Weekend
Saint James’ Episcopal Church in Arlington hosts its annual Norman’s Attic festivities on Saturday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will take place in front of the church and along Route 7A, rain or shine, in conjunction with Arlington’s town-wide tag sales. Saint James’ will be offering its ever-popular grill, serving hot dogs, hamburgers and pulled-pork sandwiches, along with beverages and other luncheon selections. The bake table will have a wide selection of home-made pies, cakes,cookies, jams and jellies, sweets and savories for sale all day. This year’s basket raffle features themes such as back-to-school, Bennington Pottery, wine and pet products, with the winners to be drawn at 3 p.m. (You don’t have to be there to win.) The recycle, re-use and nearly-new table will be loaded with household treasures. As a special treat, the Crossover Cloggers will be on hand mid-day to show off their fancy footwork. Independent vendors will have booths along the road selling a variety of arts and crafts, including pottery, woodware, knits and other fiber arts, goat’s milk products, jewelry, paintings and antiques.
