Christina and Cooper Maddocks, with Stepahnie Thompson-Roy
and Katie Roy, invite you to Northshire Day School’s Wellness Fair.

Northshire Day School is holding their second Annual Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with information pertaining to health and wellness. There will also be a bounce house, yoga for children with Alexandra Langstaff, karate with DJ from the Vermont Martial Arts Academy, a smoothie table, nutritious snacks and more.  This event is free and open to the public.

We would also like to let the community know of the activities we will do for our celebration of the Week of the Young Child, April 7 to 11. The children’s artwork will be displayed around town; we have some community members coming to read to the children throughout the week, a Scholastic Book Fair, pajama and pizza day and pony rides; we will create fruit kabobs; and a bounce house was rented to end this fun-filled week.  We would like to thank Bagel Works for their generous donation of bagels and cream cheese for our parent/staff appreciation day.  A big thank you to Janet from the Mark Skinner Library who will come read with the children throughout the week.

The Week of the Young Child brings public attention to the needs of young children and their families and recognizes the programs and services that meet the needs of the early childhood years.  The National Association for the Education of Young Children established the Week of the Young Child in 1971, as a time to plan how we, as citizens of a community, of a state and a nation will better meet the needs of all young children and their families.
