‘Of Mice and Men’
Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning presents a lecture and theatre offering on John Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men,’ a story on the lives of two migrant farm workers and their friendship, dreams and tragic loss. On Wednesday, April 30, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Dr. James Kraft will explore the themes and imagery of the story and how Steinbeck’s life influenced his writing. This lecture will take place at Equinox Village in Manchester Center, Vt. The cost is $20 at the door; $15 if paid in advance. A theatre performance of the play takes place at Hubbard Hall in Cambridge, N.Y., on Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m., to be followed by a talk-back with the cast.
