Panton Flats Performs for Okemo’s Final Free Concert

Panton Flats will perform for  the final free concert of The Springfield Medical Care Systems Summer Music Series at Jackson Gore on Friday, August 30.

Panton Flats has been playing their original and highly danceable blend of blues, funk, R&B and rock and roll in Vermont since 2009. Their reputation is as a band dedicated to well-crafted song structures, whirling improvisation, soulful vocals and powerful lyrical narratives. The overall effect harkens back to a time when music was about musicianship, when musicians communicated, harmonized, and pushed themselves to greater and greater heights in the process.

On Friday nights throughout the summer season, the lawn in the courtyard at Okemo’s Jackson Gore Inn has been transformed into
an outdoor concert venue featuring popular local and regional
entertainers. Admission to the concert is free and the grounds open at 5 p.m. Concerts are slated to run from 6 to 9 p.m.

Families are welcome and all attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets. In case of rain, the concerts will move indoors.

Dining options include fresh-from-the-grill burgers and hot dogs, or full-service dining with an al fresco seating option at Jackson Gore’s Coleman Brook Tavern.
