her Aunt Melissa, Pawlet Library’s new director, prepare for their biggest fundraiser.

The Pawlet Public Library will hold its 47th annual Book Sale on  Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Mettawee Community School on Route 153 in West Pawlet, just south of its junction with Route 30. This is the largest library book sale in Vermont,  based on the number of residents. This year’s sale will offer 25,000 hardcover, trade paperback and small paperback books, including a hallway full of  children’s books for all ages and grade levels. There will also be a room full of collectible books, and coffee table books and book sets. The sale also include the traditional home-baked goods sale, with hot dogs, hamburgers and refreshments available for purchase.

Pawlet author Eve Schaub will autograph her popular new book, ‘Year of No Sugar,’ in the school lobby from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Eve, her husband and children ate for an entire year with consuming sugars of any kind. Her knowledge of sugar is extensive and often disturbing. For further information, call the library at 802-325-3123 or Trustee Glenn Munson at 802-325-3449.
