Pawlet Public Library Book Sale to Offer Over 20,000 Books

Pawlet Public Library will host its 52nd annual Book Sale on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. Held at Mettawee Community School at 5788 Route153 in West Pawlet (just off Route 30, the sale will feature more than 20,000 new and used books; it’s one of the largest sales in New England, drawing fans from across Vermont, New York and Massachusetts! Stock up on year-round reading: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., browse for hardcovers priced at $2, softcovers priced at $1, children’s hardcovers for $1, and all paperback books are 25 cents each or six for $1. Sunday is Bag Sale Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Category tables include fiction, mystery, rare books, young adult, children’s and non-fiction books on art, history, biography, cooking, gardening, health and lots more, plus paperbacks, DVDs, CDs, VHS, albums, puzzles and games. Other temptations include the Book Lover’s Café, a bake sale and a raffle to win a Chandler 4 Corners hooked rug. Credit cards are accepted; be sure to bring bags or boxes to carry home your finds.
