Patti Weisser’s paintings, inspired by her stays in Mexico, will be one of the attractions at the Pember Museum and Library’s First Friday event.

June First Friday at the Pember Library and Museum will feature the work of artist Patti Weisser on Friday, June 3, from 7 to 9 p.m. After a career of 25 years in the healing arts, Weissner recently returned to her passion for painting. “I so love to paint,” she said. “When I started spending winters in the beautiful Caribbean color of Mexico, I was inspired to paint like never before. My paintings are mostly seascapes and landscapes.” She will also have some of her latest jewelry designs at the show. Granville sixth graders will be back with more No Strings stick puppets, the ongoing inspiration of a puppet-making workshop coordinated by June Brown and Vermont’s No Strings Marionette Company. The puppets are the student’s final school project before graduating, and one they all look forward to. Musicians Steven Havel, Mark Catman, Greg Colm and Carl Weathers will be performing an eclectic mix of favorites and improvisation. Food and refreshments will be available at this free event. The Pember Library and Museum is located at 33 West Main Street, Granville, N.Y. Call 518-642-1515 or visit thepember.com to learn more.
