The Stratton Foundation hosts a benefit pie contest, canine performances and competitions, and fall fun October 12.

October 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Stratton Foundation will host the second annual Vermont Fall Field Day at the Stratton Mountain Resort Base Lodge. Pies will be accepted from 9:30 to 11 a.m.  for the People’s Choice Pie Tasting Contest: win up to $1,000 in grants for your favorite local program or charity. Bring your canine to enjoy a performance by 802DiscDogs, and enter a fun contest for longest tail, best trick, biggest or smallest breed and more, judged by 30-year professional American Kennel Club and Westminster judge, Sheila Balch. There will be a pumpkin and apple slingshot, pumpkin bowling, hayrides, Vermont vendors and more, all to the live performance by Bob Stannard and those Dangerous Bluesmen. Come to the Stratton Mountain Resort for Saturday’s Brew-fest and Sunday’s Vermont Fall Field Day. Don’t miss taking a scenic ride in Stratton’s new gondolas.
