‘Phantom of the Opera’ at LTS
The Arts Department at Long Trail School will present the musical, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ this season. The performance focuses on a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano and devotes himself to nurturing her talents and employing the devious methods at his command. The cast and crew boast 41 Long Trail students from grades six through 12, directed by Tracey Wesley. The orchestra is led by Tom Neeson and features LTS students and faculty. Professional accompanist Michael Gallagher will be on keyboard. LTS alumna Dana Haley will assist with production and choreography. An exciting set design by Kit Hastings will include the famous chandelier, magic mirror and boat. Sure to sell out, performance times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 8 to 10, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 11, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and senior citizens and $15 for adults.
