Saturday, October 18 is the official Vermont State Pumpkin Carving Day! The day is set to be celebrated in style with the ninth annual Pumpkin Carving Festival from 11 a.m to 4 p.m., at Equinox Valley Nursery in Manchester, Vt. The Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to join Equinox Valley Nursery in sponsoring this great event to benefit the Community Food Cupboard.

This year’s festival includes the perennial favorites: Wagon Rides, Crazy Corn Maze, Bouncy House, Kid’s Crafts, Pumpkin Painting, Scarecrow Stuffing, Cider Donut Eating Contest, Face Painting and other fun-filled activities. One of the highlights of the day will be the Costume Parade and Contest at 1. The Witches of the Northshire will gather for a photo around the bubbling cauldron at 1:30. Come in costume to join the fun!

The Equinox Valley Nursery courtyard will be filled with Craft & Farm Market vendors of interest to everyone.  There will be yummy treats from NanZ and Roger’s famous cider donuts! Mark your calendars to come for a fantastic fall day and support the Community Food Cupboard. For more information, call 802-362-2610 or email evnretail@myfairpoint.net.
