The Community Food Cupboard announces that the annual Pumpkin Carving Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, at Equinox Valley Nursery, located on Route 7A, south of Manchester Village. Kids and adults are invited to show off their Halloween costumes at the event beginning at at 1 p.m. for a contest and parade. Other activities will include wagon rides, a crazy corn maze, a bouncy house, kid’s crafts, scarecrow stuffing and much more. There will be plenty of pumpkins to be painted or carved, too! This year’s festival will also feature live music with Paul Brotchie and friends from 12 to 3 p.m., farm market vendors, seasonal brews, hard cider and Roger’s famous cider donuts! All proceeds will go towards funding Manchester’s Community Food Cupboard, which provides nutritious food to people in need in the Northshire.
