The numbers are growing for the 21st annual Komen Vermont Race for the Cure at Hildene Meadows in Manchester, Vt., on Saturday, September 21. As participation grows, so does the need for volunteers, given that this year’s race features a new 10K race option, in addition to the 5K race and walk.

Volunteers can do one or more of many things on race day and beforehand. On Thursday and Friday, September 19 and  20, many helpers will be needed for set up. If you would like to volunteer or register for the race please visit komenvtnh.org to register on-line. If you have questions, email Volunteer Chair Mary Miller at marymillerlee@comcast.net, or call her at 802-362-0108.  You may also call the race office at 802-362-2733 for information.

Seventy-five percent of money raised underwrites breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in Vermont and New Hampshire, while the remaining 25% is dedicated to breast cancer research. Get information and register at komenvtnh.org. For more information about Susan G. Komen Race or breast cancer, visit komen.org or call 877 GO KOMEN.
