The Town of Bennington Rescue Squad provides around-the-clock 911 advanced life support. In addition, they provide emergency transports, paramedic intercepts, interfacility transfers, an EMS bike squad, standby services at events, demos, school presentations, falls prevention education, and even car seat fitting. Bennington Rescue also offers community classes in CPR, AED and First Aid, as well as a wide array of specialized professional training opportunities, including EMR, EMT, AEMT, and EMS Continuing Education. They are a nonprofit agency that relies on donations to help bridge budget gaps that remain after insurance reimbursements, patient payments and town contributions have been received. The Town of Bennington Rescue Squad is the only critical care licensed agency in southwestern Vermont, providing lifesaving emergency care by paid professional career EMS crew members 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without regard to ability to pay.
