Registration for LEGO Contest in Chester Now Open
The 2016 LEGO Contest is taking place on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the NewsBank Conference Center, 352 Main Street, Chester. Early registration is due by February 29. The event is open to children ages pre-K through grade eight and their families. Entries will be judged in grade categories for their originality, imagination and presentation. If a structure is a team entry, the age of the oldest member will determine the grade category. There are also family team and motorized LEGO categories.
To obtain a registration form and more information, go to stlukesepiscopalvt.org or ourchester.org. Printed forms are available at the Whiting Library on Main Street in Chester and at Chester-Andover Elementary School. Entries received by Monday, February 29, are $10. After that date and on the day of the contest, entries will be $15, if there is room. Sponsored for the fifth year by Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, the event will benefit the church and the children’s section of Chester’s Whiting Library.
