Rutland Auction to Raise Funds for Teen’s Recuperation
A Benefit Auction will be held on Saturday, September 17, to raise funds for Hubbardton’s Nate Jones, who was in a horrific car accident in July, suffering a coma, brain damage, multiple broken bones and internal trauma. After admittance to Dartmouth Hitchcock, Nate was transferred to Boston Hospital to receive more specialized care. He is now able to speak and works everyday to regain lost skills and movement. The auction will take place at the Elks Lodge on Pleasant Street in Rutland, with doors opening at 10 a.m. and the auction, led by auctioneer John Fanzoni, commencing at 11. Featured will be antiques, coins, motorcycle apparel, furniture, 1950s jewelry, estate items, a Victorian photo album, new items, gift certificates and more. All of the proceeds will go directly to Nate’s family to help cover his medical costs and changes to their home made to accomodate Nate’s recovery. They have a very long, difficult road ahead of them and every person at the auction will help make their future a little brighter. Cash, Visa and Mastercard will be accepted.
