Rutland County Audubon
Rutland County Audubon is planning a trip to seek out winter regulars and visitors of the avian variety in the Champlain Valley. They will be visiting points along the lake on Saturday, January 12. Dress for the weather and bring lunch. The group will meet at 9 a.m. in the Otter Valley Union High School parking lot.
On Thursday, January 17, they will conduct their monthly Bird Monitoring Walk in the West Rutland Marsh, an Important Bird Area (IBA) where 155 species have been recorded. Kids, new birders and non-members are always welcome. Join friendly bird experts for the 3.7 mile loop around the marsh on dirt and paved roads or go halfway. They will meet at the marsh boardwalk on Marble Street at 8 a.m. Contact email@example.com to learn more.
