Rutland’s Project Help
For over four decades, Mount Saint Joseph Academy students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and friends have planned and executed Project Help, a program that provides Christmas baskets for some of the neediest families in the Rutland region. Project Help is slated for December 19 and 20. MSJ students and volunteers collect food and monetary donations from area residents and businesses on the first day of Project Help, Thursday, December 19, joined by eighth grade students from Christ the King School. The students will then deliver the gift baskets to local families on Friday, December 20. This year, CKS Cub Scout Pack #120 are helping. They will be will canvassing Town Line Road, Gleason Road and neighborhoods off Gleason Road, collecting non-perishable food items on Saturday December 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. We are grateful to this wonderful group of youngsters who understand the meaning of helping others. If you would like to volunteer, or make a donation, contact Mrs. Fortier at [email protected] Students knock on most Rutland City doors, but if you live in a remote area or outside the city and wish to contribute, you may drop off at the MSJ main office, Wednesday, December 18, during school hours. Mount Saint Joseph Academy is located at 127 Convent Avenue in Rutland.
