Shabbat ‘Fat Friday’
Friday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. will be the last Havurah Keruv Shabbat before Passover. Fat Friday is a very special (and made up) day on the Keruv calendar. It’s when we eat lots of hametz – leavened foods!
Join us for a spiritual, musical, mind-expanding and sumptuous Shabbat. Here’s what’s on the menu: services led by our talented lay-leadership; music courtesy of the Shalom Rav Singers; our D’var Torah, ‘Understanding the Exodus; bagels and lox, potato latkes, kugel, desserts and more. Please consider adding to our meal by bringing your favorite kugel, egg salad, tuna salad, herring, green salad, sliced fruit or, if you last name begins with S to Z, an extremely leavened dessert. The services and a community potluck dinner will be held at the First Congregational Church of Manchester, located on Route 7A/Main Street, Mancheter Village. All ages are welcome.
